Where does the chicken go?

I saw a chicken, in its common form as we have always known it, a while ago alive and scratching the earth. Later on I was served the same chicken for lunch, and it was so delicious. After I am done with it, I started to wonder where the chicken had gone. Is it no more existent? Or does it continue to exist in a different form than we have known it for so long? I know I have eaten the chicken; hence, does the chicken now become part of me and continue to exist in another form? Then, would it be any different in my case when the time comes that I no longer exist in this human form? Do I vanish into none existence, or do I continue to exist in a different form as part of the entire existence?
